Bellingham Washington Wedding and Portrait Photographer Courtney Bowlden

If you are a photographer, you may understand the feeling to need or want to constantly take pictures. I am getting anxious that I haven’t scheduled anyone for January, so I asked my sister-in-law if she would want to model for me. Its nice to have a beautiful model too!

So we packed up the family (my husband, daughter and son) and took them along for the ride too. Not only was I freezing cold (it was 40 degrees, but really felt like 20!), my kids were running around like crazy! I am so glad that my husband was there, because I would have gone crazy taking pictures and dealing with the kids.

While editing these, I started fooling around with photoshop and found a new look I love. I am sure you will be seeing more of it, too!

I met Dan through my dear friend Stacy. Dan is another photographer who I have enjoyed conversing with over the last couple weeks. I was so lucky to be asked to do his engagement pictures, but it brings a lot of pressure to the shoot. He’s a great photographer, and I am really just starting out. They were both so sweet and nice and it was a true pleasure doing their photos for them. Besides the fact that I almost got in a car accident on some slippery roads, and the fact that it was freezing outside, I really loved the shoot.

I couldnt decide if I liked the black and white better. What do you think? Color or B&W?

For Christmas my husband got myself and my son a plane ticket to Utah to visit my family. I not only got to see my family, but also got to meet a photographer that I have truly admire and respect: JUSTIN HACKWORTH! He was so kind to meet with me and help me. It was truly a pleasure to meet with him!

I wasnt able to book any shoots while I was down there, but I did take some family pictures for my sister and her husband and my dad and step-mom (I hate calling her a step mom, because shes so nice).

I was honored that my dad and step mom allowed me to take pictures of them. I love them so much and even though it was freezing outside, we got a few good pictures. We didnt have much time since the sun was going down quickly.
