4th of July Seabrook Wedding

Fourth of July weddings will always have a special place in my heart. There’s just something about the energy of the holiday, the long summer light, and being near the water that makes the whole day feel extra celebratory. This Fourth of July minimony in the charming beach town of Seabrook, Washington was no exception. It was intimate, joyful, and full of all the coastal, small-town magic you could hope for on a holiday weekend.
Seabrook is this sweet little planned community on the Washington coast, with colorful beach cottages, ocean views, and winding pathways that make you feel like you’re walking through the pages of a storybook. It’s one of those places where you can hear laughter and music drifting through open windows, kids riding bikes down the street, and the sound of the waves in the distance. For a Fourth of July minimony, it couldn’t have been more perfect.

As we reminisced about the day, the couple shared their excitement for their future together, making this 4th of July Seabrook wedding even more special.

Celebrating a 4th of July Seabrook wedding is truly unique and memorable.

This couple chose the Fourth of July for their wedding date, and honestly, it’s one of the most fun days to get married (that, and maybe New Year’s Eve). Even though they decided to keep things small and simple, the day never once felt lacking. If anything, the scaled-back version of their wedding made everything feel more intentional. Every person there mattered, every moment felt close-knit, and every detail had a purpose.

This decision to have a 4th of July Seabrook wedding reflects their love for summer celebrations and the joyful spirit of the holiday.

Instead of a huge guest list and a packed timeline, they opted for a minimony—just their closest family and a few dear friends. The ceremony was held in front of one of Seabrook’s classic coastal homes, with white siding, charming trim, and that quintessential beach-town feel. Guests gathered close, some barefoot, some in sandals, all smiling and ready to celebrate. It was one of those ceremonies where you could feel everyone listening, really soaking up each word and vow.

The décor was simple but thoughtful, letting Seabrook’s natural beauty shine. Think soft, summery florals, pretty table details, and little touches that made everything feel personal without being over the top. The couple leaned into the holiday in subtle ways—hints of red, white, and blue showed up in small details, but it never felt cheesy or theme-heavy. It was more like a gentle nod to the day they chose to say “I do,” while still keeping the focus on their love and story.

Everyone present could feel the magic in the air that day, as this 4th of July Seabrook wedding was filled with warmth and love.

One of my favorite parts about photographing in Seabrook is how many beautiful backdrops you can find within a short walking distance. After the ceremony, we wandered around the neighborhood for portraits—quiet streets lined with beach houses, stairways leading down toward the water, and charming little corners that framed the couple perfectly. Later, we made our way closer to the ocean, taking advantage of that soft, coastal light that makes everything feel dreamy and romantic.

Because it was the Fourth of July, there was a fun buzz in the air all day long. You could hear faint sounds of barbecues, music, and families gathering to celebrate. There’s something really special about getting married on a day when everyone is already in a celebratory mood. It felt like the whole town was quietly cheering them on, even if they didn’t realize a wedding was happening just a few cottages away.

It truly felt like a community celebration, where each person was part of this unique 4th of July Seabrook wedding.

The reception was relaxed and heartfelt—exactly what you’d hope for with a minimony. Instead of a big ballroom, they had an intimate gathering where everyone could talk, laugh, and actually spend time together. There were toasts that made everyone tear up, moments of big, genuine laughter, and that easy flow you get when you’re surrounded by people who know and love you deeply.

Of course, you can’t have a Fourth of July wedding without a little sparkle. As the evening went on and the sky started to shift into those soft coastal blues and pinks, the celebration moved into that golden, hazy light that photographers dream about. Sparklers, fireworks in the distance, and the glow of porch lights all added to the feeling that this day, in all its simplicity, was exactly what it was meant to be.

The day culminated in a beautiful display of fireworks, adding to the magic of their 4th of July Seabrook wedding.

What I loved most about this Seabrook minimony was the reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be huge to be incredibly meaningful. Scaling down doesn’t mean sacrificing beauty or emotion. If anything, it often makes those things shine even brighter. This couple proved that with a thoughtful location like Seabrook, a handful of favorite people, and a willingness to embrace a smaller celebration, you can still have a day that feels full, rich, and completely unforgettable.

If you’re dreaming of a coastal Pacific Northwest wedding or considering a minimony or micro-wedding, Seabrook is such a wonderful place to look into. You can read more about this day and see some of my favorite images from it here: Fourth of July Minimony in Seabrook. It’s proof that sometimes the sweetest celebrations come in smaller packages—especially when they’re wrapped in ocean air, holiday joy, and a whole lot of love.

Overall, the 4th of July Seabrook wedding captured the essence of love and joy that summer brings.

This 4th of July Seabrook wedding showcases how personal and intimate celebrations can leave lasting impressions.
