Frequently asked questions
Do you shoot film or digital?
I shoot both film and digital. Since starting photography in 2009, I knew I wanted my photos to be timeless. Film allows me to do that for you. Between my team and me, we capture a quality variety of both.
How many photos will i get?
Every wedding is totally unique. There is no limit to the amount of photos you will get. The more events, details, and time you have us for, the more photos you get. For elopements, the average is around 300-400 and for larger weddings that require more time, you'll usually end up with around 700-900 edited images.
What is the turn around for photos?
Portrait sessions, like engagements, usually take 2-3 weeks. Weddings usually take 4-6 weeks depending on the time of year. Rush ordering is available for any order.
do you have vendor recomendations?
Over the years, I’ve worked with many incredible and talented vendors who help make your wedding day the best ever. A comprehensive list of quality professionals that I refer with confidence can be found inside my Free Planning Guide.
will we get all the photos we want?
We go over all of those specifics together in advance to create a photography itinerary. We review your day in detail, and you know you can trust us from there to get it right. We work hard so you can be totally present and worry-free for your big day.
what about rainy weather?
If rain is in the forecast, we'll discuss appropriate accessories and planning to keep you dry. We'll re-evaluate portrait locations to maintain good lighting opens. I often scout alternative locations before I show up to shoot just to have a backup. While I can’t guarantee that rain on your wedding day is good luck, I can put a plan in place to ensure a beautiful day and beautiful images.
what other details should I think about?
Photographs are part of every moment and knowing what can get overlooked is part of our job. We'll help you choose the right amenities, confirm delivery timelines for things like flowers, keep key areas clutter free, and share other specifics we know matter from our years of experience.
do you have a best ceremony tip?
More than anything else, kindly ask your guests to unplug for the ceremony so your photographers can do their job. These are the photos you'll look back on for the rest of your life. And your guests can have full access to them afterward as well.
how much time do we need for photos?
The aesthetic style you choose will impact your day of experience. An authentic style documentary approach offers more time in the moment verses a traditional approach with more posted shots. We'll help you determine what is best for you.
