Romantic Laurel Creek Manor Wedding
Kelsea and JC’s wedding at Laurel Creek Manor was the kind of elegant, romantic summer celebration that just felt good from start to finish. It was soft, floral, relaxed, and full of so much joy — the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple. And honestly, Kelsea being such an easygoing, relaxed bride set the tone for the entire day. Everything flowed so smoothly, and you could feel that everyone was truly able to be present and enjoy the moment.
If you’ve never been, Laurel Creek Manor is a historic, family-owned estate in Sumner, Washington, and it’s one of my absolute favorite venues to photograph. The property includes a lovingly restored 100-year-old manor house, five acres of privacy, and the dreamiest English-style gardens with Italian fountains, old-growth trees, weeping willows, and cobblestone paths. It has that perfect blend of vintage elegance and modern comfort — the kind of place that already feels romantic before you even add flowers or décor.
For Kelsea and JC, Laurel Creek Manor was the perfect backdrop for their garden-inspired wedding. Their details were soft, feminine, and floral-forward, with a color palette built around blush and soft pinks. Flowers were truly the star of their design — lush arrangements on the tables, delicate blooms tucked into bouquets, and romantic florals framing key moments throughout the day. The pink tones looked beautiful against the estate’s greenery and white manor house, giving everything a fresh, airy feel that still felt timeless.
I’ve had the joy of photographing these two before — you might remember their sweet Semiahmoo engagement session on the coast. Getting to document their wedding day after that felt extra special. There’s something so meaningful about walking with a couple from their engagement all the way through their “I do’s,” and seeing how their story continues to unfold.
Kelsea spent the morning getting ready upstairs in the manor house, in one of the beautiful getting-ready suites. One of the things I love most about a Laurel Creek Manor wedding is how thoughtfully the interior spaces are designed for days like this — gorgeous natural light, elegant architecture, and plenty of room for bridesmaids, dresses, details, and all the happy chaos of a wedding morning. Downstairs, you’ll find rich wood floors, stone fireplaces, French doors, and Italian chandeliers that make the whole place feel like a European estate tucked into the valley.
Their ceremony took place in the gardens, where Laurel Creek really shines. Two acres of landscaped English gardens, a unique arbor, winding paths, and terraces create the dreamiest setting. Surrounded by blooming florals, manicured lawns, and tall trees, Kelsea and JC stood under the summer sky and promised forever in front of their closest family and friends. The soft pink and floral-forward details tied in beautifully with the greenery and the light, giving their ceremony this ethereal, romantic atmosphere.
After the ceremony, we wandered the property for portraits — one of my favorite parts of every Laurel Creek Manor wedding. The estate is full of stunning photo spots: cobblestone patios, Italian fountains, garden paths, terraced lawns, and that iconic tree-lined drive. Everywhere you turn, there’s another backdrop that looks like a painting. Kelsea and JC slipped so naturally into every moment together — laughing, holding hands, taking little quiet pauses to soak it all in. Their joy was so easy to capture.
The reception was held under the tent and on the terraces, where guests could enjoy both the gardens and the warm summer evening. The floral-forward design continued with centerpieces full of soft pinks, creams, and greens, candles glowing as the sun went down, and the manor house standing proudly in the background. Laurel Creek’s versatile layout and tented spaces make it such a great venue for summer weddings — you get that outdoor garden feel with the comfort of covered areas if the weather decides to be unpredictable.
And then… the party really started.
I honestly don’t know what I loved more — the dancing or the fireworks. The dance floor was full all night long, with guests celebrating like they never wanted the evening to end. There were big laughs, fun spins, sweet slow dances, and so many candid moments that showed just how loved Kelsea and JC are. Laurel Creek Manor even offers a fireworks add-on, and it was the perfect way to end the night. Watching fireworks light up the sky over the gardens while everyone cheered and hugged felt like something out of a movie. It was truly an epic ending to a beautiful day.
Looking back on this wedding, what stands out to me most is how aligned everything felt — Kelsea and JC’s gentle, joyful personalities; the soft pink, floral-forward details; and the timeless charm of Laurel Creek Manor all came together so seamlessly. It was elegant without feeling stuffy, romantic without being overdone, and full of the kind of happiness you can feel just by looking at the photos.
Kelsea and JC, thank you for letting me tell this chapter of your story. From your coastal engagement session to your romantic garden wedding, it’s been such an honor to walk alongside you — and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
