Romantic Wedding At The Kelley Farms
Lacey and Mike are the kind of couple who make you feel instantly at home. From the moment I arrived on their wedding day, there was this warm, happy energy around them—full of laughter, tight hugs, and quiet moments of gratitude. Their celebration at The Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake was everything you’d hope for in a Wedding At The Kelley Farms: relaxed, elegant, a little bit rustic, and completely centered around the people they love most.
Kelley Farm is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph, especially in the summer. A Wedding at the Kelley Farms gives you so much in one place—sweeping pastoral views, a historic farmhouse, beautifully manicured gardens, and a modern barn that manages to feel both grand and cozy at the same time. The venue sits on over 200 acres of farmland, with a restored barn, a spacious patio, and a ceremony courtyard that overlooks fields and pasture. It’s the kind of place where you don’t have to do much to make it beautiful; the property itself does so much of the work for you, which is one of the many reasons I love a Wedding at the Kelley Farms.
One of the sweetest things about this day was simply who Lacey is. She’s one of those brides who is constantly thinking about everyone else. All day long she kept checking in, making sure her guests were comfortable, that her friends were having fun, and that everyone felt included. Watching her move through her Wedding at the Kelley Farms with so much care and kindness reminded me just how much heart sits behind all the pretty details. Mike matched her energy perfectly—easygoing, kind, and clearly so in love with his bride. Together, they surrounded themselves with fun friends, lots of laughter, and their darling family.
Lacey’s bridal style was perfection. She wore the most gorgeous Sarah Seven gown—simple, modern, and incredibly flattering in all the right ways. I loved how clean and timeless the lines of her dress were; it felt like it could belong in any era. She found her gown at The Dress Theory, one of my favorite bridal boutiques, and it suited her so well. Later in the evening, she added an incredible shawl that brought in a touch of drama and coziness as the air cooled. The movement of the dress and that shawl together in the golden light at this Kelley Farm Wedding was a photographer’s dream.
The Kelley Farm itself added so much atmosphere to their story. The historic farmhouse on the property was originally a wedding gift back in 1907, and today the venue blends that sense of history with a modern barn designed specifically for weddings. Inside the barn, you’ll find reclaimed wood siding, towering beams wrapped in twinkle lights, and oversized barn doors that open onto a stamped-concrete patio overlooking the fields. During Lacey and Mike’s Kelley Farm Wedding, guests flowed easily between the indoor and outdoor spaces—gathering on the patio for cocktail hour, wandering through the courtyard, and then filling the barn with conversation and dancing as the evening went on.
Everywhere you looked, there were beautiful corners for photos: the garden paths, the open lawn, the view over the farmland, and of course the barn itself. One of my favorite parts of photographing a Kelley Farm Wedding is how many different looks you can get without ever having to leave the property. For Lacey and Mike, we wandered from the garden to the barn to the patio, taking advantage of soft light and the natural textures of the farm—weathered wood, green fields, and big open skies.
The details Lacey and Mike chose felt thoughtful but never fussy. The décor worked seamlessly with the rustic-elegant vibe of The Kelley Farm: romantic lighting, pretty tables, and just enough styling to enhance what was already there. Their friends kept things light and joyful, cracking jokes during portraits and filling the barn with energy once the music started. It’s one of those things I always notice on a wedding day—when a couple has built a community that genuinely loves being around them, it shows in every candid photo.
As the sun began to set over their Kelley Farm Wedding, the entire venue took on a golden glow. The barn lights shimmered against the evening sky, the fields softened into dusky blues and greens, and Lacey and Mike snuck in a few quiet moments together between events. Those little pauses—where they could look at each other, breathe, and soak it all in—ended up being some of my favorite images of the day.
Looking back on Lacey and Mike’s Kelley Farm Wedding, what stands out most to me is the combination of heart and setting. A thoughtful, generous bride who wanted everyone to feel loved. A groom who clearly adored her. A timeless Sarah Seven gown from The Dress Theory that photographed like a dream. And a venue—the beautiful Kelley Farm—that wrapped everything in rustic, romantic charm.
If you’re dreaming of a celebration that feels both elegant and down-to-earth, a Kelley Farm Wedding is such a beautiful option. Lacey and Mike’s day is one I’ll always remember with so much fondness—full of laughter, sweet details, and a whole lot of love.
