A Copper Creek Inn Wedding

It’s funny the little things that come rushing back when I look through these images from Kristin and Alex’s Copper Creek Inn Wedding. I remember the way Kristin’s whole face lit up when she smiled, how genuinely happy she was all day, and how fun and easygoing their friends and family were. Even though it was a little chilly and drizzly—the most classic Pacific Northwest weather—you honestly couldn’t have asked for a better setting for a Copper Creek Inn Wedding. Their Copper Creek Inn Wedding took place at the gorgeous Copper Creek Inn near Mount Rainier, a historic woodland resort tucked among towering trees and winding trails. It was my first time photographing a wedding there, and I was instantly smitten. The property feels like a quiet little village in the forest, with cabins and suites scattered through the woods, a charming restaurant, and so much natural beauty everywhere you look. It’s the kind of place that really shines for couples who love the outdoors, which made it the perfect choice for Kristin and Alex’s Copper Creek Inn Wedding.

One of my favorite things about this celebration was that so many of their friends camped out and stayed around the property for the weekend. I always adore when couples include their community in the day in this way—it adds an extra layer of love to something as simple as dessert. Another special element was that Kristin’s brother served as their officiant. Having a sibling stand with you and lead you through your vows adds such a powerful emotional layer to a ceremony.
