Rein Fire Ranch Wedding

Danielle and Scott’s Rein Fire Ranch Wedding was one of those days that made my job feel almost too easy—in the best way. From the moment I arrived, everything about their celebration felt fun, relaxed, and full of personality, all wrapped up in the most gorgeous Pacific Northwest setting.

If you’re not familiar with it, Rein Fire Ranch is a rustic wedding venue tucked in the serene Sugarloaf Mountain Valley in Ravensdale, Washington, just about 45 minutes from Seattle and Tacoma. It sits on 45 acres of open meadows, gardens, and woods, with a restored 4,000-square-foot event barn, ceremony pavilion, garden spaces, a cabana bar, and even a bonfire pit for cozy evening hangs. It’s the kind of place that feels like a peaceful getaway, which made it the perfect backdrop for this Rein Fire Ranch Wedding.

One of the first things I always notice at a Rein Fire Ranch Wedding is how warm and welcoming the owners and staff are. Rein Fire Ranch is owned and operated by husbands Rich and George, who transformed what was once a working horse ranch into a beautiful, full-service wedding venue in 2012. They’re truly some of the kindest people in the industry, and you can feel their heart in every part of the property—from the way the gardens are cared for to the thoughtful add-on experiences they’ve created for couples.

Danielle has amazing taste, and she really leaned into the relaxed, elegant, rustic vibe of a Rein Fire Ranch Wedding. The barn and outdoor spaces were styled with thoughtful details, pops of color, and a fun mix of textures that felt both elevated and playful. One of my favorite touches was the reception décor: fresh blueberries floating in water alongside candles on the tables. Such a simple idea, but it added this beautiful, summery, Pacific Northwest feel to the whole space.

The entire day felt like that—personal, fun, and full of little moments that reflected Danielle and Scott. From the ceremony in the gardens and meadows to cocktail hour around the cabana bar and into the barn for dinner, guests got to experience all the different spaces that make a Rein Fire Ranch Wedding so special. The ceremony garden, with its walkway leading up to the pavilion and the big trees surrounding it, created such a picturesque setting for them to say their vows.

The Vendors

I also have to gush about the flowers, because one of my all-time favorite florists worked this Rein Fire Ranch Wedding: From The Ground Up Floral. Led by the insanely talented Gina Thresher, they always create designs that are lush, artful, and full of texture. The arrangements for Danielle and Scott’s day were no exception—gorgeous, full blooms that held up beautifully even in direct sunlight and added just the right amount of color and romance to every space. Seeing her work against the backdrop of the barn, gardens, and meadows made this Rein Fire Ranch Wedding look like something out of a magazine.

And then there was the mule.

Yes, you read that right. One of the absolute highlights of this Rein Fire Ranch Wedding was the drink-delivering mule—Percy, the star of Rein Fire Ranch’s original Mobile Mule Bar. Percy showed up with saddle bags ready to go and instantly became a guest favorite. Everyone lit up when they saw him wandering through with drinks and photo ops. It was such a unique, memorable detail and honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen at a wedding. Only at a Rein Fire Ranch Wedding do you get a mule as part of your bar experience!

Sunset Portraits

Once the sun started to dip, we moved fully into party mode. The event barn at Rein Fire Ranch is spacious, warm, and designed perfectly for a Rein Fire Ranch Wedding reception, with room for up to 200 guests, a dance floor, a main bar, and great acoustics. It’s one of those spaces that feels cozy even when it’s full, and as the music kicked up and guests hit the dance floor, it absolutely came alive. I still can’t decide what I loved more—the dancing or the fireworks at the end of the night. The energy on the dance floor was incredible, and then ending the evening with fireworks over the ranch was just the perfect epic finale to an already amazing Rein Fire Ranch Wedding.

The Reception

By the end of the night, with guests laughing around the bonfire, the barn glowing, and the sky lit by fireworks, it felt like every part of the property had been fully enjoyed. That’s one of the things I love most about a Rein Fire Ranch Wedding—couples and their guests don’t just pass through; they really experience the venue, from the ceremony pavilion and cabana bar to the barn, meadows, and fire pit.

Danielle and Scott’s Rein Fire Ranch Wedding was beautiful, joyful, and so much fun to be a part of. I left that night with a full heart and a very full memory card.

If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, romantic, and unforgettable countryside celebration, I can’t recommend a Rein Fire Ranch Wedding enough. And if you’re looking for a photographer who knows and loves this venue, I’d be honored to be there with you. Reach out and let’s start dreaming up your own Rein Fire Ranch Wedding together.
