Royal Palms Resort Wedding
May was an incredibly busy month for me, which is quite unusual. I had the privilege of traveling to Arizona for a few days to photograph a stunning wedding for Taylor and Haydn at The Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix. The experience was enriched by the presence of wonderful and talented wedding vendors I had the pleasure of working with.
This wedding marked the first time in a whole year that felt “normal” again. After the challenges we faced in 2020 due to the pandemic, it was refreshing to photograph the joy of dancing and celebration once more. While I cherish small intimate weddings, I also adore the energy of grand celebrations. The lively dancing and heartfelt toasts create unforgettable moments that make each wedding unique.
As I had never been to The Royal Palms Resort before, I did some preliminary research. I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful grounds and the numerous picturesque spots available for photography. Upon arrival, I discovered even more stunning locations to capture the essence of the day. The venue exudes a captivating Spanish ambiance, making it feel as though I had stepped into another country altogether. If you haven’t yet experienced this gem, I highly recommend booking a night or two at their hotel and indulging in the spa services—it’s a perfect getaway for any occasion.
Nestled at the base of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, the Royal Palms Resort & Spa intricately intertwines architecture, history, and luxury. Originally a private winter estate, it has since transformed into a beloved retreat, and this Spanish Colonial Revival masterpiece has captivated hearts for nearly a century. The resort’s architecture reflects a unique blend of traditional Spanish influences with modern luxury, making it a picturesque backdrop for any wedding.
