Siempre: Utah’s Most Breathtaking Luxury Wedding Venue

There are venues that photograph beautifully and venues that feel beautiful, and the rarest category of all is the one where both are equally and completely true. Siempre in Draper is in that rare category. I have photographed at wedding venues across Utah, across the Pacific Northwest, across France, and across most of Europe, and when I think about the venues that produce the specific combination of genuine architectural distinction, extraordinary light, and a setting that makes guests stop mid-sentence and look around — Siempre belongs in that conversation without qualification.

Siempre is one of the most visually commanding wedding venues in the Salt Lake Valley, and it achieves that quality through intention and design rather than through the sheer accident of a beautiful location.

The name itself sets the tone. Siempre — pronounced syehm-preh — is the Spanish word for always, forever, all the time, eternally, evermore. It is a name chosen deliberately for a wedding venue, and the two primary event rooms are named accordingly: the Always Room and the Forever Room. There is a clarity of vision here, from the name through the architecture through the smallest detail of the suites, that you feel from the moment you arrive and that the wedding photographs consistently reflect.

Siempre is located in the foothills of Draper, Utah, at the south end of the Salt Lake Valley near the mouth of Corner Canyon — perched at an elevation that gives the venue sweeping views across the entire valley below. From this position, you can see the Salt Lake Valley spread out to the northwest, the Wasatch Mountains rising behind the building, and the city lights of Salt Lake beginning to appear as the evening deepens. One bride who wrote about her wedding here put it simply and accurately: she felt like she could see all of Utah from there.

The sunsets from this vantage point — the sky going orange and pink and deep purple over the valley as the city lights begin to twinkle below — are among the most dramatic I photograph anywhere in the state.

The Rotunda: Siempre’s Defining Architectural Statement

Before describing the individual spaces, I want to talk about the Rotunda, because it is the architectural element that makes Siempre categorically different from every other wedding venue in Utah — and one of the most distinctive ceremony structures of any wedding venue I have worked at anywhere.

The Siempre Rotunda was inspired by the iconic rotunda at Pelican Hills Resort in Newport Beach, California — one of the most photographed architectural features of any resort property in the American West. The Draper version is built in that same spirit: a soaring dome of handmade terra cotta tiles supported by precisely tapered columns, open to the sky and the valley beyond, positioned at the center of the Rotunda Garden so that the oval lawn and the surrounding landscape frame the structure from every angle.

Standing inside the Rotunda for a ceremony, with the dome overhead and the columns framing the valley view and the meticulously manicured garden surrounding the space, is an experience that has no equivalent at any other venue in Utah.

As a photographer, the Rotunda is a gift. The structure creates its own light — the terra cotta tiles catch the late afternoon sun in a warm amber glow, the columns frame the couple against the valley backdrop, and the circular geometry of the space provides a natural compositional logic that makes almost every image made within it immediately beautiful. The golden hour at Siempre, when the sun is dropping toward the Oquirrh Mountains to the west and the Rotunda is catching that last directional light, is one of the most reliably extraordinary photography environments in the entire Salt Lake region.

The Always Room: The Lower Level Indoor-Outdoor Experience

The Always Room occupies the lower level of the building and is the indoor space most directly connected to the Rotunda Garden and its outdoor splendor. The defining architectural feature of the room is its floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors — large panels of glass that open the entire interior to the outside, creating a seamless flow between the indoor reception space and the Veranda and Rotunda Garden beyond. When those doors are fully open on a clear Utah evening, the distinction between inside and outside dissolves entirely, and the room becomes an extension of the garden and the valley view rather than a separate interior environment.

At the heart of the Always Room is a magnificent stone fireplace — a cream and stone construction that serves simultaneously as the focal point of the indoor ceremony setup, the backdrop for the head table during the wedding dinner, and the gathering anchor that guests gravitate toward throughout the evening. The fireplace’s warmth is both literal and visual, and it photographs with a richness and texture that brings depth to interior reception images in a way that more uniform backdrop designs cannot achieve.

The classic baluster stairway connects the Veranda to the Rotunda Garden below — a transition element that is itself a portrait location of real elegance. Couples who want the cinematic processional moment of descending a beautiful staircase into the ceremony space below have that option at Siempre in a way that feels entirely natural to the building rather than forced. The wood floors throughout the Always Room are ideal for the first dance and the evening’s dancing — warm, polished, and acoustically well-suited to the music that fills the room as the reception finds its rhythm.

The Always Room accommodates up to 250 seated guests and connects fluidly to the outdoor Veranda and Rotunda Garden, making it the natural choice for couples whose vision centers on the iconic ceremony under the dome followed by an indoor reception where the walls of glass keep the valley views present throughout the evening.

The Forever Room: The Upper Level and the Juliet Balcony

The Forever Room occupies the upper level of the building and offers a distinctly different orientation and atmosphere from the Always Room below. Where the Always Room flows horizontally outward to the garden, the Forever Room rises — its floor-to-ceiling windows framing the valley view from an elevated vantage point, and its Juliet balcony providing one of the most dramatic portrait locations at any indoor Utah wedding venue.

The Forever Room’s aesthetic combines plush elements with refined contemporary design — soft natural light filling the space throughout the day, warm architectural details that create a romantic atmosphere without the venue needing significant additional decoration to feel complete. Multiple couples who have written about their Siempre weddings note that the venue’s inherent elegance meant they needed far less additional décor than they expected — the rooms are genuinely beautiful on their own terms, and the photographers, florists, and designers who work there regularly understand how to complement rather than cover what is already there.

The Juliet balcony is where I consistently bring couples for portrait sessions when they have chosen the Forever Room as their primary space. Stepping out onto the balcony with the Salt Lake Valley spread out below and the city lights beginning to appear at dusk — the mountains behind the building, the western horizon going from gold to amber to deep blue — creates a portrait backdrop that is specific to this building and this view and genuinely unlike anything available at any other Utah venue. The Forever Room also connects to the Secret Garden below, creating an indoor-outdoor flow that mirrors what the Always Room achieves with the Rotunda Garden on its level.

Like the Always Room, the Forever Room accommodates up to 250 seated guests, includes its own wedding suites, chandeliers, state-of-the-art sound system, wireless microphone, and HD television, and is available as an exclusive space for the booked event.

The Secret Garden: Tucked-Away Outdoor Ceremony and Cocktail Space

The Secret Garden is Siempre’s more intimate outdoor environment — a secluded garden space attached to the Forever Room level that provides a different character from the openness of the Rotunda Garden below. Where the Rotunda is grand and architectural and panoramic, the Secret Garden is enclosed and romantic and lush, with chandelier arbors strung overhead, manicured greenery surrounding the space, and the panoramic valley views available just beyond its edges.

The chandelier arbors are the feature I keep coming back to as a photographer. String lights and floral installations are everywhere in Utah wedding venues, but chandelier arbors — actual chandeliers suspended from overhead garden structures among the greenery — bring a quality of suspended elegance and evening atmosphere to an outdoor space that is visually very different from the market-lighting aesthetic most venues offer. In the late afternoon and early evening, when the natural light is fading and the chandeliers come into their own against the darkening sky, the Secret Garden is one of the most atmospheric portrait environments I work in across the Salt Lake area.

The Secret Garden is used for outdoor ceremonies for couples in the Forever Room, for cocktail hours that allow guests to move between the indoor room and the garden freely, and for portraits throughout the wedding day. The send-off possibilities here — sparkler exits, petal tosses, ribbon wands — create images in this garden that take on a specific quality from the combination of the chandelier lighting, the garden framing, and the valley glowing in the background.

The Wedding Suites: Four Rooms, All Designed with Care

Siempre offers four luxury wedding suites — two on each level, one pair associated with the Always Room and one with the Forever Room. Each floor provides a suite for the bridal party and a suite for the groom’s party, and the detail and intention that went into designing the rest of the venue extends fully into these spaces.

The suites feature lit mirrors, plush furniture, and sufficient space to accommodate the couple, the wedding party, and the hair and makeup teams without the cramped energy that undersized getting-ready rooms produce. As a photographer, I spend a meaningful portion of every wedding morning in these suites, and the quality of the light and the design of the spaces consistently produces getting-ready images that stand fully on their own as portfolio work rather than functional documentation.

The junior suites on the lower level accompany the Always Room bookings; the full suites on the upper level accompany the Forever Room. All four suites are included in the venue reservation and are available from the beginning of the event day.

The Venue Philosophy: Structure With Creative Freedom

One of Siempre’s most significant practical distinctions from many Utah County and Salt Lake Valley competitors is its vendor philosophy — and it is worth understanding clearly because it shapes the planning experience in meaningful ways.

Siempre operates as a venue-first experience. Couples reserve the space and receive with it the tables, chairs, linens, chandeliers, suites, sound systems, wireless microphones, and the services of a Siempre venue coordinator. From there, they are free to bring in essentially any licensed and insured caterer, planner, florist, DJ, or creative partner they choose. The venue does not require a wedding planner. There is no ceremony fee charged on top of the reception rental.

There are no charges for engagement or formal portrait sessions on the property before the wedding date. There is no alcohol fee built into the venue rate — alcohol is managed through Siempre’s required alcohol vendors, which ensures quality and compliance without the additional hidden fee that many venues attach.

The only required external vendors are the draping and lighting partners and the alcohol service providers. For catering, couples who choose from Siempre’s preferred catering list — which includes Marvellous, Magleby’s (one of Utah’s most highly regarded catering companies), and others — do not incur any additional fee. Couples who prefer to bring in an outside caterer not on the preferred list pay a coordination fee that covers the additional logistics involved. This is a transparent and reasonable structure that gives couples genuine flexibility while being honest about where requirements exist.

Siempre accommodates up to 150 guests for a seated ceremony and 500 or more guests for a flowing reception. The two rooms can be used individually or in combination depending on the event configuration, making the venue genuinely versatile across a wide range of guest counts and celebration styles.

Celebrity Weddings and National Recognition

Siempre has attracted significant attention since its opening, both from Utah couples and from national publications covering destination weddings. NFL linebacker Nephi Sewell and his wife Maddie held their celebrated wedding celebration at Siempre, covered by People Magazine as a breathtaking Utah wedding. Brandon Armstrong, a Dancing with the Stars professional, and his wife Brylee Ivers also chose the venue — an event that generated significant coverage in the national entertainment press.

These events reflect something real about what Siempre offers: a venue that can hold its own visually against the expectations of couples accustomed to genuinely high production value, in a way that photographs and films at a level that national publications find worth publishing. The Rotunda in particular is the kind of architectural feature that produces images of immediate and specific beauty — images that are identifiable as coming from a specific place, not interchangeable with any other Utah venue photograph.

Practical Details: Location, Access, and Getting There

Siempre is located in Draper, Utah, at the foothills above the south end of the Salt Lake Valley, convenient to I-15 and easily accessible from both Salt Lake City and Utah County. The drive from downtown Salt Lake City takes approximately fifteen to twenty minutes; from Provo or the northern Utah County corridor it is approximately thirty to forty-five minutes. Multiple hotels are nearby including a Homewood Suites, a Hampton Inn, and a TownePlace by Marriott, all within a short drive of the venue and well-suited to accommodating out-of-town guests across the full wedding weekend.

Venue pricing ranges from approximately $9,000 to $18,000 depending on the room, day of the week, and season, with peak season running from April through October. Current and specific pricing is best confirmed directly with the Siempre team at the time of enquiry, as seasonal and year-specific rates are updated regularly.

The Seasons at Siempre

From a photography standpoint, every season at Siempre has something specific and beautiful to offer — but the view from this building changes more dramatically with the seasons than almost any other Utah venue I photograph at, because the valley itself changes so distinctly.

Spring and early summer — April through June — are the months I most consistently recommend to couples with flexible dates. The Wasatch Mountains behind the building still carry snow on their upper elevations through May and into early June, creating a dramatic white backdrop against the blue sky that the fully green summer months do not replicate. The valley is at its most verdant, the light is clean, and the long evenings of June extend the golden hour portrait window well past 9:00 PM.

July and August produce the most dramatic golden hours of the year at Siempre. The sun dropping toward the Oquirrh Mountains over the valley turns the sky extraordinary colors, and the Rotunda catches that warm directional light in ways that are photographically exceptional. The city lights beginning to appear in the valley as darkness falls create a depth and sparkle in the background of evening portraits that no daytime image can match.

September and October bring autumn to the Wasatch Mountains behind the building — the peaks beginning to shift from summer green to autumn gold — and a quality of light in the valley below that is warmer and more atmospheric than midsummer’s more direct illumination. September is the month I find myself most consistently excited to photograph at Siempre, because the combination of the autumn light, the changing mountains, and the crystal-clear Utah air of the early fall produces images with a specific beauty and richness that I can always identify when I see them.

Winter at Siempre — the venue operates through all months — offers the most dramatic mountain backdrop of all, with the Wasatch range fully snow-covered and dramatically white against whatever sky the Salt Lake Valley winter produces. The indoor spaces take on their most intimate and most atmospheric quality with the fireplace lit and the valley glowing below, and the reduced pricing of the off-season months makes this a period worth considering seriously for couples whose vision leans toward the cozy elegance of a winter celebration.

Why Choose Siempre for Your Wedding Day

What I keep coming back to, after photographing at Siempre and looking at what other photographers and couples say about it, is a single quality that runs through every honest account: this luxury wedding venue is more beautiful than people expect, even when they already expect it to be beautiful. The Rotunda in particular — you can see photographs of it, you can understand intellectually that it is inspired by Pelican Hills, you can know its dimensions and its materials — and still standing inside it for the first time produces a specific response that photographs alone do not fully prepare you for.

That quality of exceeding expectation is rare in any venue at any price point, and it is what makes Siempre the venue that couples describe, months after their wedding, as the best decision they made in the entire planning process.

It is also simply a gorgeous place to make photographs. The light, the architecture, the valley view, the suites, the Secret Garden at dusk, the Rotunda in golden hour, the Juliet balcony as the city lights come on below — these are the environments that wedding photographers build portfolios around, and the reason I am always glad when a couple tells me they have booked Siempre.

If you are planning your wedding at Siempre and want to talk about the photography — how to structure the day to make the most of the golden hour at the Rotunda, the best time of year for the valley views, how to build a timeline that captures every space at its best — reach out through my contact page and let’s start planning together.
