Some weddings stay with you long after the last song plays—and this spring wedding at The Edgewater Hotel, known for its stunning Edgewater Hotel weddings, is one of those days I won’t forget. From the wedding florals to the classic fashion to the incredible vendor team, everything came together in a way that felt effortless, elegant, and full of heart.

The Edgewater Hotel is renowned for hosting exquisite hotel weddings that capture the essence of romance and elegance.

The couple’s choice in venue reflects their dreams of having perfect Edgewater Hotel weddings, where every detail is crafted to enhance the romance. I feel incredibly lucky to photograph weddings like this, especially in a city like Seattle where the creative talent runs so deep. After more than 16 years working in the Seattle wedding industry, days like this are a reminder of why I love what I do.

A Classic Vision With Soft, Romantic Color

When the bride first emailed me, she described wanting a wedding that felt classic, elegant, and timeless. That vision carried through every detail—especially their color palette. The couple chose sage green with soft pops of pink, a combination that felt fresh and romantic while still incredibly refined. It paired beautifully with the waterfront setting and set the tone for the entire day.

Her wedding gown from Sarah Seven, purchased at The Dress Theory, was truly perfect for that vision. Clean lines, elegant structure, and a modern sophistication that felt effortless on her. It photographed beautifully and felt timeless in every way.

The groom complemented his look seamlessly in Emporio Armani from Nordstrom, adding a polished, elevated feel that matched the overall tone of the day.

Florals That Felt Whimsical and Dreamy

The florals were absolutely breathtaking—lush, romantic, whimsical, and still beautifully classic. Designed by Anthera Floral and created by the incredibly talented Melissa Pack, they brought the sage and pink palette to life in the most elegant way.

I’ve loved working with Melissa over the years, and her floral creations never fail to amaze me. Her work always feels thoughtful and artful—dreamy without being overwhelming. These florals added so much softness and movement to the space and were an absolute joy to photograph.

Why They Chose The Edgewater

Choosing The Edgewater Hotel for their edgewater hotel weddings was a significant decision for the couple, symbolizing their love and connection to this iconic place. The Edgewater wasn’t just a beautiful venue choice—it was a meaningful one. The couple chose to get married here because it’s a place they genuinely love. They often come to The Edgewater to eat and occasionally stay, so it already held memories for them long before their wedding day.

That connection made everything feel even more personal. Getting married in a place that’s already part of your life adds a depth that you can feel throughout the day. And with the hotel sitting right on the waterfront, offering iconic Seattle views while being steps from downtown, it’s hard to imagine a more perfect setting. The stunning views during their Edgewater Hotel weddings added to the ambiance, creating a picturesque setting that guests will always remember.

One of my favorite moments was their first look on the balcony, where the Space Needle and Seattle skyline create an unmistakably Seattle backdrop. It’s one of those views that never gets old—and it always feels special.

A Seamlessly Planned, Joy-Filled Day

This wedding flowed effortlessly thanks to Perfectly Posh Events and the amazing Danae. Danae is someone I truly love working with. She brings calm, organization, and genuine care to every wedding day, making everything feel supported and relaxed.

The bride’s beauty team was equally wonderful. Makeup was done by Kayla Collection, and hair by Zo & Co Styling. These talented women always do an incredible job, creating looks that feel elevated, timeless, and true to the bride. I feel so lucky to work alongside such consistently amazing artists.

A Champagne Tower Instead of a Cake Cutting

One of my favorite modern touches of the night was the couple’s decision to skip a traditional cake cutting and instead do a champagne tower pour. This is such a fun (and elegant) alternative and something I’m seeing more and more couples choose—and I absolutely love it.

The champagne tower felt celebratory, stylish, and perfectly aligned with the overall aesthetic of the wedding. It created a beautiful moment for guests to gather around, added a touch of old-world glamour, and photographed incredibly well. It’s a huge wedding trend right now for a reason—it feels festive without feeling staged.

A First Dance to Remember

Reflecting on their love, the couple’s first dance was a highlight of their Edgewater Hotel weddings, surrounded by family and friends. One of the most heartfelt moments of the evening was their first dance to Can’t Help Falling in Love. It was romantic, nostalgic, and perfectly suited to the elegance of the day. Watching them sway together, surrounded by loved ones and soft light reflecting off the water, felt incredibly intimate and emotional.

Dancing, Gelato, and the Perfect Ending

As the night went on, the celebration shifted into full joy. Headsmile Productions kept the dance floor packed, creating the kind of energy that pulls everyone in and keeps the party going.

Later in the evening, Nutty Squirrel Gelato surprised guests with a gelato cart, serving delicious treats while dancing continued. It was such a fun and thoughtful touch—and the perfect way to end the night on a high note.

Feeling Grateful for This Community

This wedding was a beautiful reminder of how blessed I feel to work with such an incredible community of wedding professionals in Seattle. After more than 16 years photographing weddings here, I never take that for granted.

From the dreamy florals to the thoughtful planning, the elegant fashion, the champagne tower celebration, and the unforgettable party, this spring wedding at The Edgewater was timeless, joyful, and full of meaning—one I’ll always be grateful to have been part of. This spring wedding at The Edgewater, a venue celebrated for hotel weddings, encapsulated the essence of love, joy, and community.
