I love US history and jumped at the opportunity to go out East to visit my husband while he worked in Washington D.C. for a few weeks. I wish we had a few more days to explore the city, but we’ll have to do it another time. Hopefully when it’s a little warmer.

The first few photos are from Gettysburg. If you get the chance to go see it, do it! These are my kiddos. I think I was more excited to see Lincoln than they were (he was my favorite president).  D.C. has some incredible architecture. It reminds me so much of when I travel to Europe and the U.K. We went to the capitol and did a tour there, which I also highly recommend! It’s incredible inside (and out). Did you know you can buy shredded money? Yes, buy shredded money. I had never even thought of it, but it’s so silly! This. The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier. I was so moved by this! It will change you.
