Fall Wedding at Marionfield Farm
Some weddings stay with you in a really quiet, gentle way, and Christina and Daniel’s Marionfield Farm wedding is one of those for me. It was simple, sweet, emotional, and such a beautiful reminder that “barn wedding” can still mean incredibly elegant and Christ-centered. From the moment I arrived, there was this calm sense of anticipation in the air. Family and friends moved around the property helping with little details, the barn felt warm and inviting, and you could tell everyone was just so ready to celebrate these two. By the end of the night, with the sun setting over the fields and Christina tucked into Daniel’s arms, it honestly felt like the perfect farm wedding day.
Design and Atmosphere
Christina and Daniel’s wedding was such a perfect example of how “simple” can absolutely still feel elegant. They didn’t overcomplicate their décor or try to compete with the barn itself. Instead, they leaned into soft, romantic touches that complemented the space: gentle lighting, thoughtful details, and an overall design that highlighted the natural warmth of Marionfield.
Everything felt intentional but not fussy. The focus stayed where it mattered most—on the couple, their faith, and the people who came to support them. Sometimes less really is more, especially in a setting that already has so much character and charm.
Bride’s Look and Bridal Party
Christina wore a beautiful gown from Belle Bridal, a full-service bridal shop in Bellingham known for its extensive collection of wedding dresses and sweet, attentive service. You can explore their collections at https://www.bellebridalbellingham.com. Her dress had that perfect blend of romance and classic elegance that fit so well with the barn setting and the emotional tone of the day.
Her gown was by Essense of Australia, a designer known for creating timeless, romantic silhouettes with thoughtful details. Bridesmaid attire came from David’s Bridal, a well-known destination for wedding and bridal party dresses, with a wide range of styles and colors to fit almost any wedding vision.
Hair and makeup were done by Larkyn Campbell and Sophia Hutch, who brought out Christina’s natural beauty and created looks that photographed beautifully while still feeling true to each person. Everyone looked polished and radiant, but still like themselves—always the best combination.
A Sweet First Look with Dad
Although Christina and Daniel saved their first look for the aisle, Christina did share the sweetest first look with her dad. Those few minutes before the rush of the day really sets in can be so special. When her dad turned around and saw her in her dress for the first time, his expression said everything.
There’s something incredibly tender about those father-daughter moments—the mix of pride, nostalgia, and emotion is always so strong. It was quiet, heartfelt, and such a beautiful part of the story of the day.
Ceremony
Marionfield Farm is such a special place to get married. Tucked away in Arlington, Washington, it features a historic barn overlooking wide open fields and peaceful countryside views, which creates the dreamiest backdrop for a wedding day. You can see more about the venue at https://www.marionfield.farm.
Christina and Daniel chose to have their ceremony inside the barn, and it couldn’t have been a more fitting choice. The wooden beams, soft lighting, and rustic textures framed a very tender, Christ-centered ceremony. Their officiant, Cody Cannon, led the service in a way that felt deeply personal and rooted in faith, and it was clear that their relationship with God was at the heart of their vows and promises. There were tears, there were smiles, and there were quite a few tissues being passed quietly down the aisle.
One of my favorite things about their ceremony was that they wrote their own vows. Hearing each of them share their words—shaky voices, little laughs, and all—made the moment feel so genuine and intimate, even in a barn full of people. It was one of those times where you can feel the entire room leaning in.
Waiting To See Each Other
Christina and Daniel decided not to do a first look, which made the moment she walked down the aisle even more powerful. All day long, there was this little hum of anticipation building toward that walk. When the doors opened and Christina appeared, time kind of paused for a second.
Daniel’s face absolutely lit up when he saw her for the first time. You could see every emotion written right there—love, relief, gratitude, and maybe just a hint of “wow, how did I get so lucky?” Those are the reactions I live for as a photographer. It’s a beautiful reminder that you can design your day in whatever way feels most meaningful to you, and for these two, saving that moment made it unforgettable.
Sunset in the Field
One of my favorite parts of Marionfield Farm is the open field that stretches out behind the barn. For sunset, we snuck away from the reception for a few minutes and walked out into the field together. The sun dipped low over the horizon, casting this gorgeous golden light across the grass and creating the dreamiest setting for portraits.
Those few moments away from the noise of the party gave Christina and Daniel a chance to just breathe, be together, and soak in the fact that they were officially married. They laughed, cuddled in close, and let the evening light wrap around them. Those photos feel soft, peaceful, and full of love—such a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple.
Reception in the Barn
After the ceremony, everyone stayed right there at Marionfield Farm to celebrate. One of the best parts about this venue is how seamlessly everything flows from one part of the day to the next. The barn transformed into a warm, inviting reception space that still felt elevated and elegant, even with its rustic charm.
