An Elegant Summer JM Cellars Wedding

Katie and Chase’s Woodinville wedding at JM Cellars was one of those celebrations that felt effortlessly classy from beginning to end. I had so much fun photographing their day. Their families were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the whole wedding had this relaxed, elevated energy that fit the venue perfectly.

If you’ve never been, JM Cellars is a family-owned winery tucked into the trees in Woodinville, set on several acres of lush, landscaped grounds affectionately known as Bramble Bump. It’s a quintessential Pacific Northwest backdrop: winding paths, mossy trees, layered greenery, twinkle lights, and beautiful outdoor spaces that feel intimate and secluded. It’s one of those venues where everywhere you turn, there’s another gorgeous spot for photos, and it was the perfect setting for Katie and Chase’s elegant, outdoor celebration.

Their ceremony took place outside on the lawn, surrounded by neutral-toned fabrics and lush, floral-forward arrangements that felt soft, romantic, and timeless. The color palette was grounded in creams, beiges, and subtle blush tones, which contrasted beautifully with the rich greens of the JM Cellars property. The effect was understated and sophisticated — nothing too flashy, just beautifully curated details that let the setting and the emotion of the day shine.

One of the sweetest parts of the morning was watching how thoughtful Katie and Chase were with their wedding party gifts. Chase surprised his groomsmen with custom flasks, a personal and practical keepsake that definitely got some smiles and laughs as they opened them. Katie gifted her bridesmaids custom etched wine glasses, which felt so perfectly on-theme for a winery wedding. Those little details added such a personal touch to the day and photographed beautifully as part of their getting-ready story.

I always love working at a JM Cellars wedding because the flow of the property makes the whole day feel natural. There are spaces for getting ready, tucked-away corners for first looks, open lawns for ceremonies, and patios and indoor tasting areas for cocktail hour and receptions. For Katie and Chase, we moved through all of those spaces seamlessly — portraits among the trees, quiet moments on the stone paths, and sweet interactions between them and their families as the day unfolded.

Another huge highlight of this wedding was getting to work with the incredible team from Gather Events, with coordination and design led by Ally McConnell. Gather Events is known for their thoughtful, intentional event design and planning, and they truly brought Katie and Chase’s vision to life in such a beautiful way. Every detail felt cohesive and elevated, and Ally and her team were so helpful, calm, and kind all day long — the kind of vendor team you’re always excited to see on the list.

The Wedding Look

Katie looked stunning in her dress from Nordstrom by Jenny Yoo, a designer known for modern, romantic silhouettes and clean lines. Her look was timeless and chic — the perfect match for the venue and overall design. Her bridesmaids were dressed in gowns from BHLDN, which added a cohesive yet soft, feminine touch. Chase and his groomsmen wore suits from The Black Tux, keeping things sharp, classic, and polished.

Hair and makeup were done by Stace with Bridal Beauty Agency, who created a look for Katie that was fresh, glowing, and beautifully camera-ready all day long. The stationery, curated by Ally from Gather Events, tied everything together with refined, thoughtful paper details that echoed the neutral, winery-inspired palette.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was officiated by Kyle Andrews, a close friend of the couple, which made the whole experience feel deeply personal and heartfelt. Their vows, the way they looked at each other, and the reactions of their families all made it clear just how loved they are.

The reception flowed seamlessly from dinner into toasts, dancing, and celebration. DJ Scott Dulin kept the dance floor full all night, and Pixel Dust Videography was there to capture all the movement and emotion in motion alongside me.

Special details like their ring box from Jacquie Summer and the bridesmaids’ gifts from MyPersonalMemories added even more personality to the day — little things that made the celebration feel uniquely “them.”

The florals were designed by Floral Design by Maria, and she absolutely nailed the neutral, romantic aesthetic. Maria specializes in modern, artful, romantic arrangements, and you could see that in everything from the bouquets to the ceremony pieces to the centerpieces. The flowers held up beautifully throughout the day, even outdoors, and added that perfect layer of softness against the winery’s natural textures.

The Reception

For catering, Katie and Chase chose Kaspars Catering & Events, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m still thinking about the food. Kaspars has been a staple in the Seattle catering world for decades, known for their fresh, seasonal menus and creative, beautifully presented dishes. Every plate that went out looked incredible, and guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was.

Dessert was provided by Honey Crumb Cake Studio, a boutique cake design studio that creates some of the most elegant, architectural cakes in Seattle. Their designs are always so thoughtful and refined, and the cake at this wedding was no exception — artful on the outside and absolutely delicious on the inside.

By the end of the night, with the lights glowing, glasses clinking, and everyone completely in celebration mode, it was clear that Katie and Chase’s JM Cellars wedding was something truly special — elegant, fun, and full of heart.
