Elegant December Wedding at The Edgewater Hotel in Seattle
There’s something incredibly special about a winter wedding in Seattle — especially when it takes place at The Edgewater Hotel wedding venue in Seattle. Perched right on the water, with sweeping views of Puget Sound and the city beyond, The Edgewater has a way of feeling both iconic and intimate. This December wedding was the perfect example of how magical a holiday-season celebration can be when it’s thoughtfully designed and deeply personal.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this wedding would be elegant, formal, and full of heart — a true winter celebration with a subtle Christmas feel woven throughout.
A Classic Winter Color Palette with Holiday Charm
The couple chose a timeless winter palette of white, black, and red, which immediately set the tone for the day. The design felt classic and elevated, yet warm and inviting — never overly themed, but unmistakably seasonal.
Sprigs of pine and clusters of red berries were incorporated throughout the décor, adding a festive, organic touch that made the entire space feel cozy and celebratory. It felt like Christmas in the most elegant way — refined, intentional, and full of warmth.
Fashion That Felt Timeless and Sophisticated
The groom looked incredibly sharp in a velvet suit jacket, a choice that felt both luxurious and perfectly suited for a winter wedding. The texture added depth and richness, complementing the formal feel of the day beautifully.
The bride was absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero – Sonoma gown. The dress was beyond elegant — timeless, romantic, and perfectly tailored. It moved beautifully throughout the day and felt like a true reflection of classic bridal style.
The bridesmaids wore dresses from Azazie, which tied seamlessly into the overall palette and elevated aesthetic. Everything felt cohesive, polished, and thoughtfully chosen. If you are a bridesmaid or looking to get bridesmaid dresses, I highly recommend this store! I love their dresses and the options for colors and designs is fantastic.
Thoughtful Details and Meaningful Guest Experience
One of the most memorable details of the day was the couple’s wedding gift to their guests: beautiful, hand-crafted ornaments. It was such a meaningful and heartfelt gesture — something guests could take home and hang on their tree year after year, remembering this winter celebration and the love that filled the room.
It’s details like these that make a wedding feel truly personal and lasting.
A Dream Team of Creative Vendors
This wedding was brought to life by an incredible group of vendors who worked seamlessly together.
Florals were designed by Flora Nova, and as always, they were absolutely stunning. The arrangements perfectly balanced elegance and seasonal texture, with greenery and red accents that felt festive without overpowering the space.
Music for the evening was provided by Blyssful Sounds, who kept the energy flowing and the celebration moving effortlessly from one moment to the next.
Hair and makeup were beautifully done by KLS Makeup Artistry, creating a polished, timeless look that photographed beautifully and lasted all night.
The wedding cake was created by Morfey’s Cake, and it was as elegant as it was delicious — a perfect finishing touch to the evening.
Planning and coordination were handled by The Bubbly Soirée. I absolutely love working with Shiloh and her incredible team. We’ve photographed many weddings together at The Edgewater over the last decade, and every time, the experience is seamless, professional, and genuinely joyful. Their attention to detail and calm presence elevate every event they touch.
A Formal, Festive Celebration to Remember
This wedding felt like the perfect blend of elegance and celebration. It was formal without feeling stiff, festive without feeling themed, and deeply personal from start to finish. The winter setting, the thoughtful details, and the incredible team behind it all came together to create a day that felt timeless and meaningful.
December weddings at The Edgewater Hotel have a certain magic to them — and this one was no exception. It was a beautiful reminder that winter weddings can be just as romantic, joyful, and unforgettable as any summer celebration.
