Cedarbrook Lodge Wedding

Madeline and Stephen’s wedding day was one of those long-awaited, deeply cherished celebrations that you can just feel in the air from the moment you arrive. After years and years of waiting, hoping, and dreaming about this day, they finally got to say “we’re married,” and it was such a joy to witness. Their celebration at the beautiful Cedarbrook Lodge felt peaceful, romantic, and full of gratitude—a true reflection of who they are together.

Tucked just south of Seattle and only minutes from the airport, Cedarbrook Lodge is this unexpected little oasis—surrounded by 18 acres of lush, restored wetlands, tall trees, and winding pathways that make you forget how close you are to the city. It’s one of those venues that feels like a retreat, with a quintessential Pacific Northwest vibe: natural wood accents, cozy lodge-style interiors, and beautiful outdoor spaces that give you endless options for photos. It’s the perfect setting for a Cedarbrook Lodge wedding if you’re dreaming of something that feels relaxed, modern, and connected to nature all at once.

From the moment I walked in on the morning of their Cedarbrook Lodge wedding, there was such a calm, joyful energy around Madeline and Stephen. Friends and family moved in and out of the rooms, checking on details, sharing coffee, and wrapping them up in hugs. Madeline got ready in one of the lodge’s bright, comfortable suites, with big windows letting in soft, natural light—perfect for those getting-ready photos I love so much. Her dress hung nearby while makeup touch-ups and final hair pins were added, and every now and then someone would pause, look at her, and tear up just a little.

Stephen spent the morning with his groomsmen, getting ready and sharing stories that had everyone laughing. There’s something so special about watching each side of the wedding party prepare in their own spaces, knowing they’re just moments away from seeing each other for the first time that day. That anticipation is one of my favorite parts of any Cedarbrook Lodge wedding—the quiet before the celebration really starts.

Their ceremony took place surrounded by lush greenery, with the lodge’s manicured grounds and towering trees as the backdrop. A Cedarbrook Lodge wedding  is known for its Evergreen Lawn and beautiful indoor spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the outside in, and Madeline and Stephen’s ceremony really leaned into that natural beauty. Guests gathered in rows, the air was still and peaceful, and as Madeline walked down the aisle, you could feel how much this moment meant to everyone there. Their vows were full of tenderness and intention—simple, honest, and overflowing with love that had been growing for years.

After the ceremony, we wandered around the property for portraits, and Cedarbrook Lodge gave us so much to work with. Friends and family stood to share stories about Madeline and Stephen—some that had everyone laughing, some that brought tears, and many that highlighted just how strong and steady their love has been over the years. Between speeches, the two of them would lean into each other, hands intertwined under the table, completely present in every word being spoken. Once the formalities wrapped up, the dance floor opened and the cozy, lodge-style space turned into the best kind of celebration—music, dancing, and joy spilling out into every corner of the room.

As the evening went on, we slipped outside for a few final portraits on the grounds of their Cedarbrook Lodge wedding. The air had cooled, the pathways were softly lit, and the lodge glowed warmly behind them. Those end-of-night photos are always some of my favorites—the nerves are gone, the day has unfolded, and what’s left is a quiet, settled happiness. Madeline and Stephen held onto each other, laughed about their favorite moments, and let themselves just be in that in-between space before heading back to their guests.

Looking back on Madeline and Stephen’s Cedarbrook Lodge wedding, what stands out to me most isn’t just how beautiful everything looked (though it truly was gorgeous).
