I met Nikki last year when I was looking for hairstylists in Seattle. What a blessing she is in my life! We quickly became friends talking about the show Friends, movies and shows we like, hair styles, and of course living in California. I have spent hours with her and Josh and truly couldn’t love them more. They are definitely meant for each other and I was so blessed and honored to be there to witness and photograph their intimate wedding in Maui at the very lovely Gannon’s Wedding Venue. It was a very sweet, tender and also funny ceremony.

The day before the ceremony, Josh and Nikki invited me to come to my very first Luau. Just arriving from the airport, it was just what I needed after a long trip. I loved the entertainment food and the company. I felt immediately at ease and thrilled to be there to celebrate their love. I knew Josh and Nikki were a bit nervous, so I practiced on them while photographing the gorgeous, breathtaking sunset there. If you haven’t had the chance to go to Maui, it’s a definite MUST! I wanted to include some of the photos from their luau so you could see what to look forward to when you go. It’s truly heavenly there!

The day of the wedding was so much fun! I loved laughing and talking with Nikki’s 3 sisters. They’re all so sweet! Nikki’s gorgeous gown was from one of my favorite shops BHLDN. If you have been reading my recent blog posts, many of my brides have purchased their wedding dresses from there. I love them all! I also loved Nikki’s pineapple theme that she had going on. It was so fitting for her wedding day!

I cannot wait to go back to Maui for another wedding (or maybe just to visit)!
