This was also a truly multi-cultural wedding. The groom’s mother is Indian, and the bride’s family is from Denmark, and both backgrounds were honored throughout the day. One especially meaningful detail was the traditional Danish wedding cake, created by The SweetSide—a nod to Anna’s heritage and a beautiful reminder of how weddings can blend cultures seamlessly.

The ceremony itself was officiated by Anna’s uncle, which added another layer of intimacy and connection. There’s something incredibly grounding about having a loved one stand with you in such a pivotal moment, and you could feel that warmth throughout the room.

The wedding party style was classic with a colorful twist—one of my favorite combinations. The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses, which felt soft, timeless, and perfectly suited for spring. What really made them pop were the bright, colorful bouquets that added so much personality and contrast.

The men wore black tuxes, keeping things classic and formal, paired with light blue boutonnieres that tied everything together beautifully. The groom wore a black suit from Indochino, while the groomsmen rented their tuxes from The Black Tux.

Anna’s wedding dress, from Samila Bridal and Formal, was elegant and timeless—an absolute reflection of her style and presence. Hair and makeup by Zo & Co Styling kept everything polished, natural, and effortlessly beautiful.

If I had to describe Anna and her partner in one word, it would be fun. They are playful, goofy, and completely unafraid to be themselves—and that energy carried through every part of the day.

While I was photographing candid moments, I constantly caught one of them sneaking in a wink, a peace sign, or a goofy face. It made for the most authentic images—photos that don’t just look beautiful, but feel like them. Their wedding photos captured so much laughter and movement, and it was such a joy documenting a couple who truly embraced the moment.

Personally, the ballroom is a standout. It’s elegant, dramatic, and timeless—ideal for both portraits and a lively reception. We also took the couple upstairs to the rooftop during sunset, which is something I always recommend when getting married in Seattle. Seattle sunsets can be absolutely dreamy, and taking even 10–15 minutes away from the reception for sunset photos is always worth it.

A Reception Full of Music, Energy, and Celebration

The reception was nothing short of a party. A live band, Blue Wave Band, kept the energy high all night and created such an engaging, celebratory atmosphere. Live music brings a different kind of excitement to a wedding, and it fit this couple’s playful spirit perfectly.
