Whimsical Lairmont Manor Wedding Photoshoot

When I first arrived at Lairmont Manor in Bellingham, Washington for this styled wedding shoot, I felt like I had been transported to a European estate tucked into the heart of the Pacific Northwest. With its ivy-covered walls, arched windows, and timeless charm, the manor was the perfect backdrop for this elegant and romantic vision brought to life by Events by Genevieve. This lady sure knows what she is doing!

This entire Lairmont Manor styled wedding shoot was a love letter to spring—soft, romantic, and filled with delicate details that made my photographer heart swoon. Genevieve, the mastermind behind this gorgeous day, blended whimsy and elegance flawlessly, curating an experience that felt both luxurious and deeply personal. We decided to opt for two wedding dresses to give two very different wedding looks. The groom had a floral pocket boutineer which made it easy to place without pinning your finger to the jacket.

One of my favorite details from this photoshoot? A large poster with Taylor Swift lyrics delicately printed in calligraphy, hanging beneath a chandelier on the manor’s largest tree outfront. It danced gently in the breeze, a nod to modern romance for the couple who dreams in poetry and playlists. This is a perfect way to add a little personal detail to your wedding day. It also makes for great photo opportunities for you or your guests.

And then there were the treats. Oh my goodness, the ice cream bar was a stroke of genius—perfect for a warmer spring or summer day when your guests need a little something sweet and refreshing during cocktail hour or after dinner. Paired with a traveling cocktail bar serving up custom spring-inspired drinks, it turned the celebration into something playful, yet elevated. It’s perfect for any wedding event. The wedding cake was truly a showstopper. Covered in soft floral textures and intricate piping, it sat like a work of art beneath the chandeliers at Lairmont Manor. Every detail was thoughtfully styled, yet nothing felt overdone. It was the kind of day that made you want to slow down, take in the sunshine, and let love linger just a little longer.
